The Company:

Ink link is a medical tracking system that monitors and tracks a user's vital statistics over an extended period of time through a temporary tattoo. The vitals that are tracked include heart rate, blood oxygen levels, amount of sleep, stress levels, muscle tension, anxiety, and body temperature.

The Ways to retrieve the Vital Statistics:

The vital information can be retrieved through four different methods.

1. The tattoo broadcasts the vital information straight to the Ink Link website where it is stored in the user's profile.
2. The tattoo broadcasts the vital information to a program that has been downloaded onto the user's computer through the Ink Link website.
3. In remote locations the Ink Link tattoo broadcasts information to a USB flash drive (included in the Ink Link Starter Kit) that gets plugged into the user's home computer or laptop.
4. Busy, "on the go", users have the option to retrieve the data on their smart phone.

The Tattoos:

The electronic tattoo achieves the mechanical properties of skin, which can stand up to twisting, poking, and pulling without breaking. The tattoo can also conform to the topography of the skin as well as stretch and shift with it. It can be worn for extended periods without producing the irritation that often results from adhesive tapes and rigid electronics. The device is small enough that it requires only minuscule amounts of power, which it can harvest via tiny solar cells and via a wireless coil that receives energy from a nearby transmitter.

The System:

The Ink Link software allows a user to make a profile where all their information is collected, stored, and analyzed. A short video about tips to stay healthy and a summary of the data collected appears within your profile. If there are any abnormalities they are noted. A user can enter a phone number to be texted if any abnormalities appears. Furthermore, a in depth view is allow made available so a user can see their vitals over long periods of time. A user can also make notes about how they are feeling that day, which is also saved and marked in there file.
